Commission (NCC) that all users of MTN, Glo, Airtel, Etisalat and other network user should register their sim card, so as to help
the GSM companies and the Government keep a record of subscribers in the country. More so,it will make the recovery of lost SIM cards to be easier and
also assist law enforcement agencies in tracking down criminals.
How To Know If I My Sim Card has been Registered?
Well, just because you have been
to the regsitration centre to
register your SIM, does not mean
you have been regsitered, because there are some cases where registrations are invalid,or when the network operator are still sending you a message to registered your sim.
So if you have already done your registration and want to confirm whether your sim has been registered, all you have to do is to
- Send a text to 789 with the
word "reg" without the quotes
After sending the text to 789 with your MTN SIM card, you
should get a reply confirming or
denying that you have been registered.
If you have been registered, you
will get a reply saying "Your number has been registered.
